Used articles
enter duty free if above required documents on hand during customs
clearance.
New items: 30% of estimated value plus 10% VAT.
If
any document are missing during the initial customs clearance, a bond can be
placed until the required documents are available
Alcohol
is permitted, but more than a few bottles for personal use will incur a
duty

Items which bear trade names included in the
Israeli boycott list
MOTOR VEHICLES
- Ownership Card
- Invoice of purchase (legalized by the the Lebanese Consulate)
- Ocean Bill of Lading (showing the chassis number
, engine number, model, weight and
color)
Duty as follows:
up to LL25 millions = 20%
over LL25 millions = 35%
Cars over eight (8) years old cannot be imported
into Lebanon
No diesel automobiles are allowed
PETS
Recent certificate for all normal inoculations
required.
